Why we exist

Hiring across the North East is harder than it should be. Job boards have ballooned with noise, agencies pass briefs around between consultants who do not know each other's pipelines, and shortlists arrive a fortnight late with three CVs that don't match the spec.

Newcastle Recruitment was set up to undo all of that. We are a regional desk for the North East of England, working with employers from Newcastle to the Tees Valley, with one belief at the centre of the desk: a hire only works if both sides feel cared for. That means the employer gets a brief taken seriously, a shortlist delivered on time, and a consultant who knows their candidates personally. And it means the candidate gets the truth about the role, not a sales pitch.

We place permanent staff for North East employers. Our desk is built around hires that stay, the brief, the vetting, the offer support, the day-7 / day-30 / day-90 follow-ups, every step geared toward six-month outcomes.

The North East of England means four counties for us: Tyne & Wear, County Durham, Northumberland and Tees Valley. We have active client and candidate networks in each, with deeper concentrations around the major employment hubs of Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Middlesbrough and Stockton-on-Tees, and steady work across smaller market towns from Alnwick to Darlington.

We work with manufacturers along the A19 corridor, distribution centres around Tyne & Wear, professional services firms in Newcastle city centre, family-run businesses across Northumberland and Durham, and national employers with NE offices that need a regionally connected agency.

How we think about a placement

A successful placement is not a CV submission. It is the moment six months later when the new hire is still in post, still adding value, and still happy. That is the only outcome that matters to us, and the only one we measure against. Everything else, the speed of the shortlist, the quality of the brief, the candidate vetting, the offer support, exists to give that six-month outcome the best possible chance.
